Over Covid, people the world over started to have a growing appreciation for teachers, and all the hard work they pour into their children. How do you extend your appreciation for something that is more than a vocation; it is a calling? Well, if you are in New York, you invite them to a free performance of “Chicago”. Thursday, February 2nd, 500 NYC public school teachers, chaperones, school social workers and guidance counselors, librarians, and school nurses were in the audience to see Broadway’s longest running American musical. Teachers Night On Broadway is a program is a collaboration with The Broadway League and The United Federation of Teachers. What's so particularly special about tonight is that these teachers introduce arts, theater, and the magic of Broadway to these students," Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin said. Flip through some of the photos from that night, and see Shubert's own CEO Bob Wankel, and VP of Real Estate Julio Peterson, along with Mark Levine, Manhattan Borough President, and Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League.
